His Excellency Adebayo Olawale Edun

Adebayo Olawale Edun, known as Wale Edun, is Nigeria’s current Minister of Finance and Coordinating Minister of the Economy. Appointed by President Bola Tinubu in August 2023, Edun brings extensive experience as an economist, investment banker, and politician. As Minister, he oversees national financial affairs, shaping economic policies and fiscal management to drive growth and stability. Edun has also taken on key leadership roles, including Chairman of the African Governors’ Forum of the World Bank, and is focused on attracting investments, promoting fiscal reforms, and supporting vulnerable populations.
